Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Indigenous Participation Advisor.

This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on Indigenous Australian communities and contribute to Shell Australia's social performance strategy.

The successful candidate will be part of the broader Indigenous Partnerships and Cultural Heritage team, working collaboratively with various teams within Shell Western Australia and Northern Territory to develop and deliver strategies that strengthen Shell's local license to operate with Traditional Owners.

About the Role

In this role, you will support the development and implementation of Shell Australia's National Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and associated Indigenous participation activities.

You will work closely with the National Indigenous Participation and Cultural Heritage Manager to champion relationships and represent the IPCH team when engaging with business and cross-functional teams across Shell globally and nationally.

Key Accountabilities
  1. Support the development and delivery of a National RAP that delivers tangible outcomes aligned with the needs of Indigenous stakeholders.
  2. Ensure accurate reporting, tracking, and progress of Shell Australia's RAP commitments and associated budgets.
  3. Develop and support the delivery of Asset Indigenous Participation Plans.
  4. Provide guidance on how Shell's Assets engage with Indigenous stakeholders in a culturally appropriate way.
  5. Provide guidance on how impacts to Indigenous communities are managed.
What You'll Do

You will work collaboratively across the IPCH team to deliver Shell's commitments to Indigenous communities, managing social and non-technical risks, and building Shell's brand by delivering Indigenous engagement and participation objectives.

In addition, you will support the growth and development of the Indigenous workforce by offering direct and indirect job and contracting opportunities.
