**Specialist - Aboriginal Contractor Engagement.**

**Key job responsibilities include**:

- Represent our client across Government, non-Government agencies and other stakeholders, to negotiate and influence the delivery of meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal supplier engagement.
- Provide advice across the company on Aboriginal suppliers, ensuring understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal business services and local programs.
- Project management and deliver a range of key events, projects and functions of strategic importance, to improve the company brand in the industry.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to assist Aboriginal businesses to identify and overcome barriers in the company's procurement processes.
- Investigate and lead critical projects that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency and improve outcomes for Aboriginal suppliers.
- Provide strategic thinking and future planning to enhance policies to encourage long term growth for Aboriginal supplier engagement across the business.

**To be successful in this role you will need**:

- Degree level qualification in a relevant discipline and considerable experience in procurement and contracting in a utility business or a heavy engineering and Construction environment.
- Considerable experience in positions that require deep knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs, attitudes, and protocols.
- Considerable experience working with procurement policies and procedures.
- Experience in the development of corporate strategies and policies.
- Availability to undertake travel within Western Australia in accordance with business needs.
