Indigenous Employment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Indigenous Employment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in creating meaningful pathways for Indigenous employment, leadership, and cultural inclusion across our Australian operations.

This role is central to our commitment to reconciliation and recognition of the importance of Indigenous voices, perspectives, and contributions to our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver programs that attract, retain, and support Indigenous talent, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect.
  • Facilitate training and embed Indigenous perspectives into policies and practices, ensuring alignment with legal, cultural, and native title obligations.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams and leaders to integrate inclusion into everyday practices, driving organizational change and growth.
  • Create opportunities for Indigenous employees to grow into leadership roles, promoting career development and advancement.
  • Monitor outcomes and ensure that they align with our commitment to reconciliation and Indigenous inclusion.
Requirements
  • Experience developing and delivering programs that create real impact, especially in inclusion, capability building, or employee engagement.
  • Strong connections to Indigenous communities, cultural knowledge, or lived experience that informs your approach and builds trust.
  • Practical experience working in mining, community engagement, or inclusion-focused roles, with a proven track record of success.
  • A strong ability to connect, build relationships, and foster respect, valuing diversity and promoting a culture of inclusivity.
  • A genuine commitment to creating spaces where Indigenous voices are heard, valued, and empowered, driving positive change and growth.
