As a senior leader within Australia's defence industry, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the country's sovereign workforce capability.

The Role

This leadership position demands vision and strategic thinking to:

  • Ensure the availability of skilled workers to meet programme requirements.
  • Design and implement plans for developing talent pipelines across engineering, operations, program management and supply chain.
  • Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the skills and expertise of ASC's workforce.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, educational institutions and industry partners to develop and sustain Australia's sovereign submarine talent base.
  • Drive cultural transformation and embed innovative systems that drive business outcomes.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A strong track record of designing and implementing capability programmes aligned to strategic objectives.
  • A deep understanding of workforce trends, regulations and training standards.
  • Experience in leading enterprise-wide change initiatives.
  • A proven ability to inspire high-performing teams and engage diverse stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels (internally and externally).

Relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, project management or operations are required, supported by post-graduate business studies.
