About The RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Mad Mex Waurn Ponds. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including:
- Championing our vision and values, ensuring they are integral to everything we do
- Daily involvement in the service elements of the restaurant, including opening and closing procedures, ordering stock, forecasting and managing rosters, overseeing preparation and service, handling cash, and maintaining equipment
- Talent management of your team, including recruitment, training, mentoring, staff appraisals, and performance management
- Ensuring compliance with legislation and our policies and procedures
- Facilitating training for in-store staff, as well as franchisees and new managers
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of our 'mexucation' program
You will have a strong infrastructure and robust systems in place to support you in your duties, including a Restaurant Manager and the support of our Regional Operations Manager, Accounts, Marketing, IT, Training, and HR teams.
About YouWe are looking for someone with a strong background in restaurant management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams. You will be an exceptional leader with experience in managing business operations in a shift work environment, and you will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to read and digest P&L statements.
You will be a strong motivator and team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with your team, customers, and stakeholders. You will be able to stay calm under pressure and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements- Strong leadership ability, with experience developing and mentoring others
- A1 interpersonal skills, including the ability to build strong relationships, innovative problem-solving skills, and the ability to think outside the box
- Accounting knowledge, including the ability to read and digest P&L statements
- Ability to stay calm under pressure
