Risk Assurance Role at Perpetual

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Assurance Professional to join our team at Perpetual. As a key member of our Risk function, you will be responsible for managing risk-related programs, policies, and systems. Your primary focus will be on executing and enhancing Perpetual’s Controls Assurance Program to deliver continuous improvement of our control environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the Enterprise Risk team strategy
  • Contribute to Perpetual’s Controls Assurance (CA) Program and enhance CA methodologies and standards for assessing, monitoring, and reporting on the effectiveness of our control environment
  • Deliver end-to-end CA review activity, including developing annual CA Plans and review deliverables
  • Support the development and execution of the Perpetual Risk and Control Self-Assurance (RCSA) Program
  • Provide assurance and control-related support and advice to business unit initiatives and projects
  • Develop and provide risk and control training initiatives to strengthen understanding of key processes and roles/responsibilities
  • Develop effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels across Perpetual’s business

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified in finance/commerce, law, or accounting disciplines
  • Post-graduate qualifications desirable
  • 3+ years’ experience in controls assurance, risk advisory, or internal audit roles within a financial services environment
  • Understanding and practice of testing control design and operating effectiveness
  • Previous experience in drafting inputs to reports/presentations/training on risk and controls assurance activity
