Job Description

As a field service technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of turf maintenance related equipment. You will travel between designated work sites to complete all maintenance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience with various types of turf equipment.

  • Repairing of systems such as diesel and gasoline engines, as well as hydraulic systems;
  • Valve adjustment, checking compression, and isolating major engine related failures;
  • Removing, repairing, and replacing engines, transmissions, differentials, electrical and other major components;
  • An understanding of diagnostic equipment;
  • Undertaking parts ordering, invoicing, gathering servicing information, or any other duties performed by the service department in accordance with company systems;
  • Diagnose and locate mechanical/electrical faults and making necessary repairs in accordance with correct procedures outlined in service manual.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience;
  • Ability to determine mechanical defects which cause engine, transmission, hydraulic or electrical system failures;
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to establish respectful relationships with colleagues and business customers;
  • A valid Australian driver's license;
  • Ability to use and test and wide range of diagnostic equipment in order to determine mechanical or electrical faults;
  • Be well-presented and have a polite and professional manner.
