Aged and Disability Care Professional wanted for a permanent role in Newcastle and Central Coast locations. We are seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our team.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work with a wonderful organisation providing high-quality care services to individuals across the region.
- The successful candidate will provide personal care support, including showering/bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, preparing meals, and assisting with physical and mobility requirements.
- They will also provide assistance with personal activities, such as administration, shopping, banking, attending appointments, performing house duties, washing/ironing, and medications support through webster packs.
- The ideal candidate will facilitate community inclusion and participation, dependent on individual needs, abilities, and preferences, and support people to establish and maintain relationships and interests through access to community activities, venues, and services.
- Provide personal care support to individuals in their homes or communities.
- Assist with daily living activities, including cooking, cleaning, and managing personal finances.
- Facilitate social interactions and community engagement, promoting independence and well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including medical staff and family members, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Certificate in Community Services/Individual Support or equivalent experience.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Spinal cord and Brain injury experience highly desirable.
- Manual handling, hoists/lifter, Slide sheets experience favourable.

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
