Job Description:

We are seeking an accomplished professional to lead government relations, facilities strategy and innovation initiatives across the State.

As a strategic leader, you will shape long-term participation outcomes, future infrastructure planning and the way we engage with stakeholders at all levels of government and the community.

  • Develop and deliver a State Facilities Strategy to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Establish high-quality participation and facility utilisation data to inform stakeholders and support long-term planning.
  • Drive innovative facility provision models, including outdoor courts and shared-use agreements with schools and educational institutions.
  • Inform and influence Local Government infrastructure decision-making, including strategic and financial planning, community infrastructure frameworks, and developer contribution plans.
  • Align priorities between peak bodies and affiliated associations to deliver a unified and strategic approach.
  • Pursue funding opportunities that complement traditional State Government funding.
  • Influence participation and infrastructure policy to ensure our sport remains at the forefront of sports policy settings.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong government relations and policy expertise with the ability to influence decision-makers at local, state and federal level.
  • Proven experience in facility or infrastructure planning, strategy or major projects.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to build alignment across diverse interests.
  • A strategic mindset with commercial acumen and experience developing funding or partnership models.
  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and collaboration.
