We are seeking a proactive and strategic Senior HR Advisor to support our operational and corporate teams. This role is critical in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, driving workforce performance, and fostering a strong culture.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with operational leaders to provide expert guidance in areas including workforce planning, employee relations, talent management, and compliance.
This includes:
- Acting as a strategic partner to business leaders, providing HR support that aligns with operational goals.
- Partnering with site managers and corporate teams to deliver HR solutions that drive productivity and engagement.
- Leading and managing the implementation of a HRIS.
- Supporting workforce planning and talent acquisition efforts for field and corporate roles.
- Managing employee relations cases, ensuring fair and compliant resolution of issues.
- Leading and supporting performance management, succession planning, and career development initiatives.
- Monitoring and advising on compliance with employment laws, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
- Analyzing HR metrics and trends to inform strategic decisions and improve HR effectiveness.
- Supporting organizational change management and continuous improvement efforts.
Key qualifications include:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in a HR Generalist role, ideally within the mining, construction, energy, or heavy industry sectors.
- Strong knowledge of employment law, labour relations, and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships and influence leaders at all levels.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, remote or field-based environment with occasional travel to operational sites.
- Proficient in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite
