About the Role

Laing O'Rourke Rail Operations is seeking experienced Signalling Electricians to support our rapidly growing team in NSW.

We are currently undertaking large-scale works across Sydney and surrounding areas, including the Digital Systems project, Sydney Trains MSA projects, TAP Station Upgrade project, and More Trains More Services MTMS Stage 3 project.

As a Signalling Electrician, you will be required to work across various Sydney sites, implementing Signalling works for activities in the rail corridor. There may be opportunities to travel to regional areas as needed.

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

  • A current C Class Drivers Licence
  • A Construction industry white card
  • A Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW) with Licenced Sydney Trains Signal Electrician
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
  • Certificate of Competency on both Sydney Trains and ARTC networks as a signal electrician
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including Rail CAT Specific medical & drug and alcohol screening
  • Availability to cover weekends based on project requirements

  • Excellent communicators and able to work with high-performance rail teams
  • Able to work weekends and nightshifts when required
  • Follow Laing O'Rourke Next Gear Safety Principles
  • Willing to undertake additional training as needed
  • Solid experience working in a team-based environment
  • Ability to adapt to change in a working environment
  • Willingness to mentor and train new team members
  • Ability to compile Signalling packages for specific project works
