We are seeking a highly skilled Families and Domestic Violence Clinician to support the establishment of the Medicare Mental Health Centre in Wagga Wagga. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with consumers and their family/carers to identify their support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans.
Key Responsibilities- Provide immediate intervention and emotional support to consumers in crisis or significant distress, particularly those at risk of suicide or affected by Domestic and Family Violence (DFV).
- Provide high-quality biopsychosocial spiritual assessments, care coordination, and evidence-based, focused psychological interventions to consumers.
- Work closely with the broader Wagga Wagga Medicare Mental Health team and external providers to create seamless care pathways, ensuring that consumers receive coordinated, multi-agency support.
- Contribute to promoting a deeper understanding of DFV dynamics, fostering a supportive environment for long-term positive outcomes.

- Current full or working towards AHPRA registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, or occupational therapist (accredited with OTA as meeting the Australian Competency Standards for occupational therapists in mental health), or accreditation with the AASW as a mental health social worker (or working toward).
- Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of family and domestic violence, including the principles of trauma-informed practice, crisis intervention, case management, application of appropriate risk assessment, and responding to and understanding high-risk indicators and protective factors.
- Understanding of the dynamics, complexities, and legal and social welfare consequences of domestic violence.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in providing holistic, evidence-based therapeutic support.
