Job Description

As a Registered Midwife, you will provide safe and effective midwifery care that reflects current standards of midwifery practices and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality midwifery care to patients in an acute hospital setting
  • Clinical problem-solving skills to maximize patient care
  • Effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and coordinate midwifery care in a multidisciplinary team environment providing outcome-based care

This is a casual position working within a seven-day rotating roster including public holidays and night duty.

Requirements:

Essential Requirements include:

  • Current Registration as a Registered Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge, and competency in the provision of midwifery care relevant to an acute hospital setting
