Job Summary:

This role involves assisting the casework team with case management to achieve permanency outcomes for children and young people entering our care.

It is a recognized pathway and development opportunity to a full Caseworker position, providing culturally supported placement options for those aged 0-18 years.

We also offer a 'light touch' Aftercare service for young people aged 18-25 who have left foster care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the casework team with case management tasks
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve positive outcomes for children and young people
  • Provide culturally sensitive placement options for children and young people
  • Deliver a 'light touch' Aftercare service for young people who have left foster care

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma (minimum) in Community Services or equivalent qualification
  • Strong advocacy skills for children, young people, and families
  • Collaborative teamwork skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to compliance with relevant laws, policies, and procedures
  • Proficiency in technology
  • Flexibility and adaptability
