Database Systems Manager

Job Summary:
Talent International is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and managing our SQL database to ensure secure access and availability in accordance with business needs.
Key Responsibilities:- Database Management: Manage our organisation's SQL database technology, ensuring optimal performance and security.
- Issue Escalation: Escalate unresolved issues to appropriate vendors and manage these in accordance with agreed service level agreements.
- Technical Advice: Provide advice on technical aspects of database and report development.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and deep dive into SQL server issues and performance.
- Database Provisioning: Knowledge on how to provision and set up SQL server resources from scratch.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of experience as a Database Administrator in a SQL environment.
- Microsoft Azure: Demonstrable experience in managing Microsoft Azure SQL PaaS and Microsoft Azure SQL Managed Instance.
- Business Acumen: Strategic business acumen and understanding of organisation strategy and ability to design database design to meet the organisation strategy.
- ITIL: Knowledge of the ITIL framework is mandatory.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Permanent Position: A permanent position with a reputable government agency.
- CBD Location: Working from home 3 days a week in a CBD location.
- Competitive Salary: A competitive salary range of $121,250 - $132,764 + super.
