Oracle Database Engineer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Engineer to join our team at Zone IT Solutions. As a key member of our digital services team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Oracle database systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement Oracle database systems that meet client requirements
  • Develop and maintain database performance, security, and backup and recovery procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure database systems meet business needs
  • Stay up-to-date with Oracle database technologies and best practices
  • Provide expert-level support for database-related issues
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Engineer or Oracle DBA
  • Strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts and architecture
  • Technical knowledge in Oracle Exadata
  • Experience in database design, performance tuning, and optimization
  • Experience with Oracle database administration tasks such as backup and recovery, database security, user management, and patching
  • Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL programming
  • Experience with Oracle tools and utilities such as SQL Developer and Enterprise Manager
  • Understanding of data modeling and database design principles
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) are a plus
