About the Role

Grand Pacific Health is seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at headspace Canberra. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with young people and their support systems to identify their support needs, goals, and develop collaborative care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality psycho-social assessment and evidence-based, focused interventions to young people referred to headspace Canberra.
  • Work closely with other members of the headspace Canberra teams and external service providers to maximize care outcomes for young people.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the unique needs and goals of each young person.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Provide education and support to young people and their families on mental health and wellness.

Requirements:

  • Current or working towards full AHPRA registration as a psychologist, clinical psychologist, mental health nurse, or occupational therapist.
  • Experience in assessment and diagnosis of mental health disorders, provision of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and other evidence-based focused psychological strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and communicate effectively with young people, and their family and friends.
