About the Opportunity

Australian Veteran Health Services is a leading provider of mental health services to Australian veterans. We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Psychologist to join our team and provide high-quality mental health care to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapeutic support to veterans
  • Provide veteran-centered care focusing on maintaining ongoing health to current and past serving members of the Australian Military
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as required
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences
  • Collaborate within a dynamic multidisciplinary team
  • Engage in professional development and learning opportunities
  • Uphold the practice's reputation for excellence in veteran care
  • Work with the internal teams to provide supervision where required
  • Conduct assessments in support of DVA claims
Selection Criteria
  • A degree in Psychology (essential)
  • Valid and current professional registration to practice as a Registered Psychologist (essential)
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting (essential)
  • Capacity to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment (essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (essential)
  • Ability to accurately assess and classify mental health disorders as outlined in the DSM-5 (essential)
  • Previous experience or a background in veteran support (desirable)
  • An understanding of the unique challenges faced by Australian military veterans (desirable)
