About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Bupa's ADF Health Services.

This is a full-time permanent position, working Monday to Friday, based in Canberra at the ADF base.

As a Psychiatrist with our team, you will be responsible for providing expert psychiatric advice and support to Defence and health service providers, managing complex mental health cases.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical interventions for Eligible Personnel experiencing mental health problems, particularly the impact of trauma
  • Leading and managing mental health and psychiatric services, including program development and research
  • Providing clinical supervision in a multidisciplinary clinical environment

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be a collaborative worker who thrives in a dynamic environment, working with people of all backgrounds to achieve common goals.

You will be able to adapt to different workplace cultures and clinical environments, with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Requirements include:

  • Current unrestricted registration as a Psychiatrist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of Psychiatrists
  • Current Defence Health Services experience (desirable)
  • Base Line Security Clearance (desirable)
