CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Programs Manager to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of our mental health programs, including the STEPS Residential Program and Youth and Wellbeing programs.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality mental health services to young people and their families.
- Develop and implement program strategies to achieve desired outcomes and improve service delivery.
- Collaborate with government and non-government agencies to promote CatholicCare Canberra & Goulburn's services and build partnerships.
- Provide case coordination and support to young people and their families, including assessments, recovery planning, and case reviews.
- Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Participate in on-call rosters and provide after-hours support as required.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in social welfare, social work, psychology, or a related field.
- At least 12 months' experience in managing staff and programs in a social welfare or mental health setting.
- Demonstrated understanding of mental health recovery principles and the ability to report, liaise, advocate, and refer to outside agencies on behalf of clients.
- Knowledge and experience in change management, including reviewing programs and implementing new systems and processes.
- Highly developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated awareness of relevant principles and practices, including EEO, WH&S, confidentiality, and duty of care.
