Job Description:

The role of a Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and management of a building portfolio. This includes Administration offices, community buildings, and industrial depots. The successful candidate will lead internal teams and contractors to ensure facilities are proactively managed, safe, compliant, functional, and operationally efficient.


About The Position:

This position plays a vital role in supporting the delivery of Council services to the community. To be successful in this role, you will be proactive, committed to excellence, and ready to take on challenges in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • To manage the day-to-day operations of the building portfolio, including ensuring facilities are safe, compliant, functional, and operationally efficient
  • To lead internal teams and contractors to achieve project objectives
  • To provide quality customer service and create value for the community

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Diploma Requirements:
  • A Diploma qualification in Facilities Management, Project Management, or a related field

Work Experience:
  • Proven experience in facilities management or a related field

Other Requirements:
  • A current Class C Drivers Licence
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and maintenance processes
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts
