Job Description:

We are working with a QLD State Government Department to recruit a Senior Procurement Officer on an initial contract.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in managing procurement and driving business improvement within a government department.

As a Senior Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for managing the full tender lifecycle, from planning to contract award, while providing expert advice to stakeholders and exercising procurement authorisations.

You will oversee monthly data reconciliation, contract disclosure reporting, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of the department's procurement data.

You will lead the development and implementation of new business processes and technology solutions to enhance the procurement and contract management frameworks.

You will build and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure service delivery meets whole-of-government requirements.

You will develop and implement a Quality Assurance Program and perform compliance monitoring to ensure adherence to Queensland Government frameworks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Procurement: A demonstrated ability to manage complex procurement processes from start to finish, with a sound understanding of government procurement and contract management frameworks.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical capabilities to identify issues, investigate root causes, and propose effective mitigation strategies.
