About the Role

Uniting Communities, a leading inclusive not-for-profit community services organisation, is working alongside vulnerable and disadvantaged young people across Metropolitan Adelaide. The Streetlink Youth Health Service has three decades of history supporting young people via an integrated health response. This role offers AOD support and medical assistance, providing a flexible service to meet a range of needs.

The successful candidate will join a multi-disciplinary team committed to long-term safety and wellbeing of young people in our community. They will engage with clients using a flexible approach, including assertive outreach, and provide alcohol and other drug counselling coupled with case management. This holistic approach ensures clients receive a wrap-around service to achieve long-term outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide alcohol and other drug counselling to young people
  • Couple counselling with case management to ensure comprehensive support
  • Engage with clients using a flexible approach, including assertive outreach
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure long-term safety and wellbeing of young people

About You:

  • Experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged members of our community, preferably within a therapeutic context
  • Able to manage a busy workload autonomously
  • Skilled in working with various databases and ensuring timely and accurate records
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of people

About the Remuneration

This role is remunerated at the Uniting Communities General Staff Agreement, Professional Level 3 - 4, dependent on previous experience and qualifications.
