The Senior Counselor plays a pivotal role in leading a legal and administrative team to provide high quality legal information, advice and minor assistance programs. This includes directing Team Leaders and staff of the Legal Information and Advice Division to deliver consistent, high quality and efficient legal information to clients.
About the Role:The position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective systems and processes to promote high quality legal information and advice work.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a legal and administrative team to provide high quality legal information, advice and minor assistance programs.
- Direct Team Leaders and staff of the Legal Information and Advice Division to deliver consistent, high quality and efficient legal information to clients.
- Develop and maintain effective systems and processes to promote high quality legal information and advice work.
- Implement a program of professional development and wellbeing in support of legal practitioners in the Division.
- Admitted or eligible for admission as a practitioner of the Supreme Court of SA.
- Included on the roll of practitioners for the High Court of Australia.
- Hold an unrestricted Category C Practicing Certificate or be eligible to apply for one.
- At least 11 years' post-admission experience in a relevant legal field.
- Collaborative and strategic leader with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with business process improvement, data and performance metrics analysis to drive growth and improvement of service delivery.
