Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR professional to join our team as a Strategic Human Resources Partner. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires the ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

This is a key leadership role within our human resources function, responsible for providing expert advice and guidance to managers and supervisors on complex employee relations matters. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering people-focused initiatives and services that drive engagement and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on complex employee relations matters, including industrial relations, workforce planning, performance management, recruitment and selection, employee wellbeing, employee engagement, and learning and development.
  • Oversee the learning and development program for the business, ensuring it aligns with organizational strategic and operational needs.
  • Maintain and build relationships at all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives that drive business outcomes and improve employee engagement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address talent management and succession planning needs.

Requirements:

  • Diploma level qualification in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior HR role, preferably in local government.
  • Proven track record of delivering people-focused initiatives and services that drive engagement and business outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of legislative and industrial frameworks that apply to human resources management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and partner with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to relate to and communicate with people at all levels, navigating complex change initiatives and driving engagement.
