About the Role

  • Maintain accurate labour reporting, including month-end journals and balance sheet reconciliations for AGL Macquarie.
  • Lead the month-end accounting and reporting processes ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in fulfilling half-yearly statutory reporting requirements and provide advice on financial matters.
  • Monitor key operational drivers and report on performance metrics to support business decision-making.
  • Prepare annual budgets, five-year plans, and monthly forecasts to ensure strategic alignment.
  • Monitor actual expenditure, analyse variances, and report on financial performance.
  • Provide expert guidance on accounting treatments for expenses, capital expenditure, and revenue.
  • Prepare operational reports/dashboards for senior management and team leaders.
  • Assist in preparing balance sheet reconciliations and capitalisation of capital projects.

What You'll Bring to the Table

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance with relevant industry experience.
  • CA/CPA qualifications or obtaining them.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Excel, and proficiency in integrated IT financial systems like SAP.
  • Superior analytical and conceptual skills with attention to detail.
