Key Position Overview

The position of Bar Manager involves leading the team and overseeing the daily operations of the bar. This encompasses managing staff, controlling stock and wastage, scheduling and planning while maintaining high standards of product quality and cleanliness.

This role necessitates a deep understanding of financial management and commercial acumen, including wage cost analysis, customer spending and upselling, and budgetary compliance to deliver results to set KPIs. Additionally, the successful candidate will have experience in recruitment, training and performance management.

Principal Responsibilities

  • People Management: Oversee and manage all areas of the bar, making final decisions on matters of importance to guest service.
  • Financial Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial management and planning, including a deep understanding of wage cost analysis, customer spending and upselling, and budgetary compliance.
  • Leadership Development: Build and lead the Bar team, developing capability and skills, and building an internal talent pipeline to succession people in the business.
