Your Responsibilities
As a Foreman with Symal Contractors, you will manage and coordinate projects with efficiency while ensuring ongoing site safety and team upskilling opportunities to grow our workforce – the right way. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring detailed commercial site records are kept in accordance with Symal Contractors' standards, including daily running sheets, day works sheets, and variation instructions.
  • Having a detailed understanding of Symal Contractors' subcontractors' and suppliers' scope and contract conditions.
  • Understanding the Client's challenges and workshop solutions that are best for the project.
  • Delivering projects safely in accordance with the Client's systems and the Symal Contractors safety program.
  • Managing, training, and mentoring Leading Hands and the labour force in all their responsibilities as per their position descriptions.

Requirements
We're looking for a proven track record in delivering projects and leading teams with a successful outcome. Key requirements include:

  • Relevant experience in delivering projects greater than $5 million and leading large teams under a range of contract models.
  • A sound understanding of relevant legislation, including EBAs and Awards.
  • 7+ years relevant construction experience.
  • A current Victorian Drivers Licence.
