The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the safe delivery of large and complex construction projects. This involves taking charge of day-to-day site management, ensuring compliance with quality and safety regulations, and overseeing project planning and programming.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective site management strategies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with project supervisors, subcontractors, and site labor to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Ensure high levels of communication and teamwork through regular meetings and direct communications with site teams and clients.
- Manage and coach staff effectively to lead the site team in achieving project and individual goals.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, rules, regulations, and industry standards.
- Solid understanding of project planning, materials handling, and programming, particularly in relation to meeting project timelines.
- Ability to manage providers within agreed contracts and negotiate with stakeholders as needed.
- Attention to detail and ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
- Well-developed leadership and coaching skills to motivate and lead large and complex site teams.
