Project Estimator Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Project Estimator to join our civil engineering division in Sydney. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing cost estimates and tenders for various civil projects across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with project managers, construction managers, and engineers to develop construction methodologies and non-price submission information.
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for different civil construction projects, compile accurate tenders within deadlines, and present them for review.
  • Develop draft construction programs in consultation with an in-house P6 planner.
  • Maintain close working relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Contribute to business development initiatives, identifying opportunities and nurturing relationships with existing and potential clients to foster growth.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in quantity surveying, engineering, construction, or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating civil construction and earthworks from first principles (three plus years).
  • Experience tendering government work for agencies such as TfNSW, WaterNSW, up to the values of $100m-$200m.
  • Knowledge of concrete construction and remediation.
  • Experience working for a Tier 1/Tier 2 construction contractor (previous site experience four-five years).
  • An extensive network of contacts across Australia.
  • Experience with Expert Estimation estimating software package.
  • A proven record of success is essential.
