Milestone IT seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Support Specialist to join our team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing technical assistance to internal users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure.

**Job Overview:**

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support to internal users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
  • Communication: Respond to support requests via phone or ticketing system in a timely and professional manner.
  • Setup and Configuration: Assist with setting up and configuring new user accounts, devices, and software applications.
  • Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and updates on computer systems, including patch management and software installations.
  • Documentation: Document support activities, resolutions, and best practices in the IT knowledge base.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management of hardware and software assets.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with senior IT staff to resolve complex issues and escalate when necessary.
  • Training: Participate in IT projects, such as system upgrades, deployments, and migrations.
  • User Education: Provide training to end-users on basic IT systems and best practices.

**Required Skills & Qualifications:**

  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with Computer Hardware: Basic understanding of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and common office applications (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
    • Familiarity with Networking Concepts: Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
    • Familiarity with Troubleshooting Techniques: Knowledge of basic IT troubleshooting techniques.
    • Familiarity with Cloud-Based Systems: Familiarity with cloud-based systems and services (e.g., Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
    • Customer Service Orientation: Strong customer service orientation with the ability to handle multiple requests in a fast-paced environment.
