Contract Deal Maker

We are seeking an experienced and motivated professional to join our high-performing team based in Tasmania. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the overall success of the project.
This key role is responsible for ensuring the effective management, negotiation, and administration of commercial contracts.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the project team with compilation, submission, close out of Service Invoices (SI's), claims etc. Assess subcontractor variation and payment claims.
- Assist the estimating team with contract negotiations, ensuring timely review and approval and/or reconciliation of variations.
- Administer upstream claims to protect contractual entitlements and ensure policy compliance.
- Attend weekly project management meetings and review progress, budget and resources on the various projects and assist Management by providing solutions for ongoing issues and developing effective change management processes as required.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to drive improvements and risk mitigation.
- Monitor contract performance and implement practical solutions to ensure project success.
- Tertiary qualifications in Contracts, Business Law, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within energy or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of the AS4000 suite of contracts and relevant legislation, including safety and security of payment.
- Proven experience in commercial negotiation and client relationship management.
- Solid understanding of planning and scheduling principles.
- Hold a high level of attention to detail and excellent computer skills.
- Excellent time management, communication, and presentation skills.
- Have strong communication and negotiation skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of Occupational Health & Safety practices.
