About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Harbison Care, a community-based aged care organisation. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with doctors and other health professionals, and upholding the values of our organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver person-centred care to residents, ensuring their dignity and confidentiality are respected at all times.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to administer medications and treatments, adhering to legislative guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with residents, families, and colleagues, promoting a culture of respect and inclusivity.
  • Assess and implement care plans, delegating tasks as necessary to ensure efficient team management.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of resident care needs and behaviours, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to organisational policies.
  • Work collaboratively with culturally and linguistically diverse staff and residents, promoting a culture of belonging and respect.
  • Support the NDIS Quality & Safeguards Commission's requirements, ensuring compliance with best practice guidelines.
Requirements
  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
  • Sound knowledge of wound and pain management, hydration techniques, dementia care, and palliative care, as required by best practice guidelines and the Code of Professional Conduct.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and educate staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication, written, organisational, and computer skills, with the ability to complete relevant documentation.
  • Hardworking, reliable, and able to work in a team environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to act as a resident advocate and educator.
