Job Title: Economic and Community Benefits Program Officer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Economic and Community Benefits Program Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and implementing programs that aim to improve the economic and social benefits of Indigenous Australians.

About the Role:

  • Manage engagement across Government to secure funding for project delivery;
  • Coordinate delivery of funded agreements between Government and Traditional Owners;
  • Develop and manage the implementation of Indigenous employment strategies, education programs, and training support;
  • Coordinate Indigenous business engagement and procurement;
  • Develop and implement Indigenous engagement goodwill projects;
  • Provide secretariat support for Indigenous stakeholder advisory working groups;

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the issues affecting Indigenous Australians;
  • High level ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Indigenous people;
  • Capability and commitment to develop cultural competency;
  • Personal drive and adaptability to deliver outcomes under pressure;
  • Able to undertake regular travel between Adelaide and regional areas;
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, coaching, and performance management skills;
