We are seeking a seasoned Heavy Rigid driver to fill a key role in our operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to make a meaningful contribution to the success of our organization.

About the Position

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely transporting fuel products to various customers across the Newcastle & Hunter regions, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and transportation of fuel products to retail, commercial, agricultural, and industrial customers
  • Pre-loading for deliveries
  • Conducting daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
  • Managing fatigue and performing log book duties
  • Developing and maintaining positive relationships with customers
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements
  • Carrying out duties within set timeframes and following instructions
Requirements
  • Must possess a minimum HR license
  • Fuel experience is beneficial but not necessary
  • Lowes can assist in obtaining the following qualifications where required:
    • Dangerous Goods license considered an advantage
    • SLP is considered an advantage
    • BFM Statement of Attainment
    • Commercial Driver Medical Fitness
  • Clean driving record and commitment to a safe working environment
  • Dedication to achieving high standards of safety
  • Excellent customer service and friendly attitude
  • Good communication skills both verbally and in writing
