Transport Allocator PM – Woolworths Warnervale NSW
The Opportunity
Due to an internal promotion, Toll group is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator to join our Warnervale site. The role of the Transport Allocator is responsible for effectively managing and organising the transport of customer's products to depots and warehouses across the required zoning. The position exists to ensure that the product is despatched in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Please note the shift hours are as follows: 12-hour shifts (5PM – 5AM) Week 1 Wednesday – Saturday, Week 2 Wednesday – Friday.
As the Transport Allocator, you will be responsible for:
- Determine and arrange weekly labour and vehicle requirements according to volume and time requirements.
- Liaise with customer for load requirements ensuring sufficient buffer window is worked for staging and loading activities of all carriers.
- Operate and understand all IT and software systems.
- Ensuring all records and materials are stored correctly and retrievable on demand.
- Monitor suppliers' maintenance requirements including service scheduling of company fleet with logbook requirements.
- Work effectively with the team by sharing information and effecting smooth transitions and changeovers daily without interruption to service levels.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Full understanding of the transport processes and expectations.
- Understanding the concept of providing a service to a client and their customers in a Transport environment.
- Understanding of Quality Management and Continuous Improvement concepts.
- Sound operational knowledge and ability.
