Job Overview

The Financial Controller plays a key leadership role in overseeing Qanstruct's day-to-day financial activities. This is a hands-on and strategic position, responsible for delivering accurate financial reports, ensuring compliance, payroll management, budgeting, and risk mitigation, while also supporting commercial decision-making and continuous improvement across the business.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly financial statements and consolidated accounts
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
  • Manage statutory and legal compliance, including all tax obligations and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure adherence to relevant regulations
  • Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies
  • Monitor and control project costs to enhance profitability and efficiency
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Maintain strong financial controls and ensure data integrity
  • Collaborate with project managers and functional leaders to support business objectives and initiatives
  • Support, coach, and develop finance team members, driving continuous improvement and growth
Requirements:
  • A recognized accounting qualification, such as CA or CPA, with a tertiary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5+ years' experience in senior finance roles, including Finance Manager or Controller positions
  • Construction industry or project-based experience is highly desirable
  • Strong technical skills in financial reporting, compliance, budgeting, and payroll management
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to support strategic decision-making and business growth
  • A collaborative and supportive leadership style, with a passion for developing teams and driving results
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a continuous improvement mindset
