Job Title:

Physical Testing Laboratory Technician

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Physical Testing Laboratory Technician to work with our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling coal samples, processing them according to instructions and current best methods, and ensuring high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams
  • A range of physical tests including sample preparation, sizing, crushing, dividing, and sample storage
  • Transferring validated results into our reporting system
  • Calibrating and maintaining specialised equipment
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license
  • A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to organise work, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting
  • Competent within a strong safety culture
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems
