Physical Testing Laboratory Technicians

A Physical Testing Laboratory Technician is needed to work at our laboratory in Mayfield, NSW. The technician will be responsible for carrying out physical tests on coal samples and ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the accuracy of test results through quality control measures
  • Handling coal samples and processing them according to instructions and current best methods
  • Loading and unloading coal samples from various plant streams
  • Transfer validated results into the reporting system
  • Calibration and maintenance of specialised equipment
Requirements:
  • A valid driver's license
  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills
  • Ability to organise work, multi-task and meet tight deadlines
  • Comfortable with safe manual handling duties, including repetitive lifting
  • Competent within a strong safety culture
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new systems
