Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned structural engineer to lead our transport structures team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, drive delivery of major projects, and contribute to HDR's global Bridges and Structures Business Class.

The role involves providing hands-on technical leadership, developing design criteria, calculations, plans, and specifications. You will serve as a Proof Engineer in Victoria, leading teams executing proof engineering services, and manage the development of structural asset management deliverables.

Collaboration is key in this role, working closely with local, national, and global teams to leverage expertise and deliver integrated solutions. Innovation, mentorship, and representation of HDR in the market are also essential aspects of this position.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related discipline
  • Chartered membership of Engineers Australia (Structures) and listing on the National Engineering Register
  • Registered Professional Engineer Victoria (RPEV)
  • 20+ years of structural engineering experience focused on bridges and transport structures
  • Proven ability to lead design teams and manage complex projects
