Career Development Specialist

As a Career Development Specialist, you'll help individuals with disability, injury or health conditions prepare for a meaningful career. You'll guide them through the job-readiness journey, building confidence, developing skills, and achieving their career goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clients to plan their next career steps, helping them find the right job.
  • Build strong relationships to understand each client's goals, strengths and support needs.
  • Provide tailored coaching and regular check-ins to maintain motivation and progress.
  • Connect participants with upskilling opportunities, hands-on experience, and group activities.
  • Collaborate with employers and community services to create pathways to employment and training.
  • Meet or exceed internal and external performance benchmarks.
  • Champion our values of inclusion, empowerment and person-centred practice.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Qualifications in Employment or Human Services – desirable
  • Experience in employment services and supporting people with disability, injury, or health conditions
  • Proven ability to meet KPIs and create client-focused employment and skills plans
  • Confident in marketing clients to employers and facilitating group programs
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of disability legislation, support strategies, and labour market trends
  • Current Driver's License – essential
