  • Support schools in interpreting departmental policies, practices, and procedures for students exiting school prior to Year 12 completion, ensuring eligible options remain available.
  • Provide support to schools for the development and implementation of retention and transition strategies and programs, improving 'at risk' student outcomes.
  • Identify student needs, provide options, and intervene with young people and their families to assist in transitioning into education, training, or employment.
  • Collate and analyze confidential information to identify needs and barriers, formulating school-to-post-school transition plans for young people who leave school before Year 12 completion, and provide case management, advocacy, and support as required.
