Digital Risk and Control Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Risk and Control Manager to join our team at HSBC. As a key business partner for the Digital business, you will be responsible for understanding, assessing, and helping to manage risks associated with the adoption of new technology, expansion of digital services, and implementation of new ways of working.
Main Responsibilities- Design and Implement Operational Controls: Develop and implement operational controls for digital products and services to ensure effective risk management.
- Design End-to-End Digital Risk Management Processes: Create and maintain end-to-end digital risk management processes to identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Provide Advice and Guidance: Offer expert advice and guidance on the maintenance of an effective internal control environment and ensure key risks are addressed at the right stage of implementation.
- Facilitate Digital Risk Forum: Facilitate and represent as Secretariat for Digital Risk Forum to oversee the Digital Risk and Control Landscape, including oversight over material issues for escalation.
- Transform Digital Risk and Control Maturity Curve: Analyze emerging risks, build automated monitoring programs, and provide real-time insights into the control environment to drive transformation.
- Perform Incident Analysis: Conduct incident analysis, root cause issue identification, and deep dive controls reviews as required across the WPB digital and broader Channels business.
- Problem Solving and Analytical Skills: Possess strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Stakeholder Management and Influencing Skills: Demonstrate strong stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to work in teams.
- Comfort with Challenging Existing Processes: Be comfortable challenging existing processes, advice, or policy that is outdated and have an interest in making the bank operate more efficiently.
- Understanding of Digital Banking: Have an understanding of digital banking and customer-facing technology, preferably gained through experience in consulting, fintechs, and digital risk roles.
- Experience in Conducting Control Reviews: Possess experience in conducting control reviews and implementing recommendations or monitoring the performance of key controls and reacting accordingly.
- Strong Modelling Skills: Demonstrate strong modelling skills and a willingness to learn.
- Understanding of Key Risk Areas: Have an understanding of the key risk areas, risk taxonomy, and controls library relevant to banking services, particularly for non-financial risk.
- Familiarity with Agile Delivery Principles: Familiarity with agile delivery principles would be beneficial, or experience working with change and transformation programs.
