Risk and Compliance Controls Specialist

Role Overview
As a pivotal member of our team, you will take charge of identifying and documenting essential control indicators to ensure effective monitoring of control performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the identification and documentation of critical control indicators for continuous oversight of control performance.
- Collaborate closely with Business Process Analysts, Enterprise Risk teams, Compliance departments, and other key business leaders.
- Manage the documentation of key controls in a standardized format for integration into Zip's Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework.
- Provide guidance to business unit representatives in defining controls, control objectives, types, frequencies, ownership, and testing schedules.
- Establish connections between identified key controls and associated risks and obligations, facilitating assessments of control design and operational effectiveness to evaluate residual risks and identify gaps.
- Assess the significance of identified control gaps and recommend prioritization and action plans for remediation.
- Document key control indicators for ongoing performance monitoring.
- Consolidate common controls into a centralized repository.
- Oversee the completion of controls-related projects in alignment with established timelines.
Qualifications and Skills
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in risk, control, and/or compliance analysis.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in disciplines such as risk management, compliance management, or internal auditing.
- Strong proficiency in control design and assessment methodologies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders.
- Results-driven mindset.
- Project management experience is advantageous.
