Job Title: Emergency Veterinary Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinary nurse to join our team in a state-of-the-art facility.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in an emergency department setting
  • Collaborate with veterinarians on medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds under the supervision of veterinarians
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
  • Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' condition and treatment plan
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the veterinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners
