
Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled veterinary nurse to join our team in a state-of-the-art facility.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in an emergency department setting
- Collaborate with veterinarians on medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments
- Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed by veterinarians
- Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds under the supervision of veterinarians
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' condition and treatment plan
- Work collaboratively with other members of the veterinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
- A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners
