Our state-of-the-art emergency centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate veterinary nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill and injured animals.
- Deliver exceptional nursing services, working closely with veterinarians to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Contribute to a dynamic team environment, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in emergency care practices.
- Assist in medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments, maintaining accurate records and collaborating with veterinarians to develop treatment plans.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, administer medications as prescribed, and perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to established protocols and standards for infection control and patient safety.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication regarding patient care and treatment options.
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting.
- Strong clinical skills, knowledge of veterinary medical procedures, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
