We are seeking a dedicated veterinary nurse to join our experienced emergency team in a state-of-the-art facility, providing high-quality emergency and critical care services to the community's pets.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Emergency & Critical Care nurse or an experienced GP nurse looking to take the next step in their career.
">Responsibilities">- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill and injured animals in the emergency department.
- Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, surgeries, and treatments.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as prescribed.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, X-rays, and ultrasounds.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners, providing updates on their pet's condition and treatment plan.
- Collaborate with other members of the veterinary team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
- Diploma or Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent).
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working as a veterinary nurse, preferably in an emergency or critical care setting.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of veterinary medical procedures.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate and empathetic towards both animals and their owners.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
