Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-driven Bookkeeper to support our finance function. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in payroll processing, statutory compliance, and financial reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: End-to-end bookkeeping, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Payroll Processing: Full-cycle payroll processing (weekly/fortnightly) including superannuation, PAYG, and award interpretation
  • General Ledger Integrity: Maintain general ledger integrity and assist with BAS, IAS, and superannuation lodgement
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end financial reports and assist in cash flow forecasting
  • Audit Support: Support audit preparation and external accountant liaison
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant tax and financial legislation

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in bookkeeping and payroll
  • Proficient with Sage, MYOB, or similar accounting software experience
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, Modern Awards, and Fair Work requirements
  • Understanding of GST, BAS, PAYG, and Superannuation compliance
  • High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage deadlines independently and prioritise tasks
  • Certificate IV in Bookkeeping/Accounting or equivalent (preferred)
