Financial Operations Manager

The Financial Operations Manager is a critical role within our organisation, responsible for overseeing the day-to-day finance operations. This includes managing payroll, administering tax obligations, preparing and monitoring budgets, and tracking expenditure.

As a key member of our finance team, you will work closely with external accountants and other stakeholders to ensure that all financial obligations are met accurately and on time. You will be responsible for approving and allocating expenses across business units and locations, as well as overseeing supplier purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced accounting or finance professional who has a strong understanding of end-to-end accounts management. You should have demonstrated experience with Xero or MYOB and possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage payroll and compliance with STP requirements
  • Administer BAS, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Fuel Tax Credits, and Superannuation obligations
  • Prepare and monitor budgets, track expenditure, and support cashflow forecasting
  • Approve and allocate expenses across business units and locations
  • Oversee supplier purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Undertake reconciliations, including accounts, clearing accounts, and corporate credit cards
  • Liaise with external accountants to ensure compliance and accurate reporting
