Job Description

As a Lecturer in Social Work, you will be responsible for:

  • Teaching and mentoring students in the Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work programs;
  • Developing and delivering high-quality courses that meet the needs of students and industry partners;
  • Conducting research in areas related to social work and human services, with a focus on advancing the standing of the Faculty;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to design, deliver, and continually improve high-quality courses and learning experiences for students.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A PhD in Social Work and membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) or eligibility for AASW membership;
  • A record of research along with demonstrated capacity for research supervision;
  • Strong interpersonal and team work skills to actively contribute to collaborative processes;
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students in a higher education setting.

Location

This role is based at one of our regional campuses in New South Wales, with the possibility of relocation to other locations pending space approval.
